At 10almonds, we’ve written about glutathione before: Glutathione: More Than An Antioxidant ← here we talk about its benefits, both the usual and the unique
…but that was an article, and this is a whole book, so naturally it contains a lot more information.
It covers: what exactly glutathione is, what our body needs in order to make it, and how we can get it from other sources. Also, what our body uses it for (which is: pretty much everything, directly or indirectly), and what happens if we don’t have enough—after the age of about 20, our ability to produce it can start to falter rather; the extent of this depends on our lifestyle.
We learn: how to leverage this to improve our systemic health in all parts, as well as slowing down aging, increasing our energy, and rejuvenating our skin.
For those who like to be taken by the hand through a process, there is a 14-day plan to boost glutathione levels, as well as several variations on that (and instructions on which to choose per your circumstances).
The style is moderate pop-science; a similar level of simplicity/complexity to what you read here at 10almonds. It’s also well-referenced with a very respectable bibliography.
Bottom line: glutathione is an oft-underrated health consideration, and a lot can be improved by being aware of it and making some tweaks that favor it rather than deplete it.
