Our Verdict

When comparing apricots to strawberries, we picked the apricots.

Why?

Both have their strong merits!

In terms of macros, apricots have slightly more carbs and about 2x the protein for the same fiber, so take a nominal win in this round.

In the category of vitamins, apricots have more of vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, E, and K, while strawberries have more of vitamins B9 and C, but still, that’s a clear win to apricots here.

Looking at minerals, things are closer: apricots have more copper, potassium, and zinc, while strawberries have more manganese and selenium, which is nominally a 3:2 win for apricots but the margins of difference are an order of magnitude higher for strawberries, so we’re calling this round a tie.

In other considerations, apricots have some special anticancer properties that strawberries can’t boast, but strawberries have more polyphenols in total, so we say this round’s another tie.

Adding up the sections makes for an overall win for apricots, but as ever, do enjoy either or both, as diversity is best!
