Our Verdict

When comparing cherries to passion fruit, we picked the passion fruit.

Why?

Both are great, but one of these fruits just has that extra passion for nutrient-bringing:

In terms of macros, the passion fruit has 6½x the fiber, 2x the carbs, and 2.2x the protein, making it the clear winner in this category.

In the category of vitamins, cherries have more of vitamins E and K, while passion fruit has more of vitamins B2, B3, B6, B7, B9, and C, winning another round easily.

Looking at minerals, cherries have more calcium and copper, while passion fruit has more magnesium, iron, phosphorus, potassium, and selenium, winning its third round in a row.

In other considerations, cherries have more polyphenols, and some beneficial phytochemical properties that passion fruit can’t claim. So that’s a point in cherries’ favor (see the “learn more” link below for details).

Adding up the sections makes for a clear overall win for passion fruit, but by all means enjoy either or both, as diversity is best!
