Our Verdict
When comparing peach to pineapple, we picked the pineapple.
Why?
Both are great! But pineapple wins overall:
In terms of macros, there isn’t much between them: peaches have a tiny bit more protein, but the numbers are so small as to be irrelevant; they’re equal on fiber and pineapple has slightly more carbs, but the margin is so small as to not make a meaningful difference. So, we say it’s a tie in the macros category.
In the category of vitamins, peaches have more of vitamins A, B3, E, and K, while pineapple has more of vitamins B1, B2, B5, B6, B9, and C, making for a marginal victory for pineapple.
When it comes to minerals, peaches have more phosphorus, potassium, and zinc, while pineapple has more calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, and manganese. Another small victory for pineapple.
In other considerations, both are great; peaches have more polyphenols, while pineapple has bromelain; you can read more about these in the links below, but what we’ll say here is: a tie in this category.
Adding up the sections makes for an overall win for pineapple, but by all means enjoy either or (ideally!) both; diversity is best!
