Our Verdict

When comparing guava to papaya, we picked the guava.

Why?

It’s an open-and-shut case today:

In terms of macros, guava has more than 3x the fiber, as well as, for what it’s worth, more than 5x the protein and slightly more carbs. A clear win for guava.

In the category of vitamins, guava has more of vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, C, E, and choline, while papaya has more vitamin A. Another easy win for guava.

When it comes to minerals, guava has more copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, and zinc, while papaya has (very slightly) more calcium. Thus, of course, one more win for guava.

Adding up the sections makes for an uncontentious overall win for guava, but do by all means enjoy either or both; diversity is good!
