There’s a lot of information out there about signs you have ADHD. But what about signs that you don’t?
Count them down…
Here we go…
- You feel like you are living up to your potential and don’t constantly sense you’re underachieving despite accomplishments.
- You finish tasks and projects on time without procrastination or last-minute chaos.
- Your finished projects are complete, accurate, and not rushed or riddled with avoidable errors.
- You read instructions thoroughly and follow them step-by-step without getting bored or trying to shortcut them.
- You don’t get sidetracked by unrelated distractions or errands while working on a task.
- You rarely lose track of what you’re doing or where you are in a task or conversation.
- You haven’t had lifelong issues with distraction or restlessness, and recent struggles are due to stress or life changes, not ADHD.
- You complete household chores like laundry all the way through—wash, dry, fold, and put away—without delay.
- You feel overwhelmed in a crisis rather than hyper-focused or clear-headed like many people with ADHD can be.
- You have no family history of ADHD (it’s highly heritable and often runs in families).
