There’s a lot of information out there about signs you have ADHD. But what about signs that you don’t?

Count them down…

Here we go…

  1. You feel like you are living up to your potential and don’t constantly sense you’re underachieving despite accomplishments.
  2. You finish tasks and projects on time without procrastination or last-minute chaos.
  3. Your finished projects are complete, accurate, and not rushed or riddled with avoidable errors.
  4. You read instructions thoroughly and follow them step-by-step without getting bored or trying to shortcut them.
  5. You don’t get sidetracked by unrelated distractions or errands while working on a task.
  6. You rarely lose track of what you’re doing or where you are in a task or conversation.
  7. You haven’t had lifelong issues with distraction or restlessness, and recent struggles are due to stress or life changes, not ADHD.
  8. You complete household chores like laundry all the way through—wash, dry, fold, and put away—without delay.
  9. You feel overwhelmed in a crisis rather than hyper-focused or clear-headed like many people with ADHD can be.
  10. You have no family history of ADHD (it’s highly heritable and often runs in families).
